Vadim Martirosov
and the Establishment of the Armenian Roerich Society

Vadim Martirosov was born on April 22, 1964, in the city of Baku, into a family of a schoolteacher and an officer. In 1987, he moved to Yerevan and studied at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute.

His spiritual journey began in the 1990s when he discovered the teaching of Living Ethics (Agni Yoga). As he studied the books on Living Ethics and explored their knowledge and principles, he started giving lectures, bringing together like-minded individuals and inspiring them to engage in united creative work. In 1998, Vadim Martirosov, Natalia Mayilyan, and Ashot Hakobyan founded the Armenian Roerich Society (ARS). As the head of the scientific department of the Armenian Roerich Society, Martirosov played a key role in promoting the organization’s cultural, spiritual, and scientific activities in Armenia.

One of the significant achievements of the Armenian Roerich Society under Vadim’s leadership was the establishment of the Helena Ivanovna Roerich Public Library in 1999. The library became a central hub for lectures and seminars on various cultural, historical, and scientific topics. Martirosov was the primary organizer and host of these events.

From 1999 to 2000, the “Bulletin of the Armenian Roerich Society” scientific journal was published, contributing significantly to the development of the spiritual environment in Armenia.
Since 1998, Vadim Martirosov has been primarily engaged in translating and publishing the Agni Yoga books in Armenian, bringing profound scientific and philosophical knowledge to Armenian readers.

Vadim Martirosov is also the author of the “Wise Khacho” children’s book series, aimed at instilling moral values in the younger generation.
At present, Vadim Martirosov continues his work at the Armenian Roerich Society. As the driving force and the soul of the organization, he inspires everyone with his dedication and determination, demonstrating unwavering commitment to working for the common good.
